This project is all about tools!
There are all sorts of tools to facilitate OR/MS teaching and learning. Here we divide those tools into two groups:
The OR tools are basically all the OR-roiented modules on this site. They correspond to standard OR methods and technigues. We do not refer to them as "tools", but basically this is exactly what they are. They are incorporated in the list of OR topics addressed by this project.
We also provide on this site a number of "general" tools, namely tools that are not necessarily OR specific. For example, we provide a simple painting tool to facilitate drawing of Gantt Charts, frequency plots, etc. and a tool to generate random numbers. The development of such tools is not a goal of its own: we shall develop these tools as we go along to support the OR modules.
We list below the general tools we plan to develop in this project. They are listed in an arbitrary order.
If you think that it would be a good idea to develop other tools as well let us know. Who knows perhaps we shall have the resources to build them sometime.
