Welcome to tutOR

This site was officially launched on July 4 1999. The occasion: 15th National Conference of the Australian Society for Operations Research (ASOR), in the Gold Coast, July 4-7, 1999. Thus, it is a young site.

Yet, to the best of our knowledge, it is the most extensive and innovative OR site of its kind. You do not have to take our word for it though. Browse around and take a look at what is already available on board and read about what we are busy working on at present. You'll quickly discover that this site is indeed unique.

We hope that our work will inspire other OR persons in other parts of the world to develop sites of this kind. Hopefully such sites will complement what we do here rather than duplicate it.

We expect the site to be in a permanent state of "work in progress", as there is so much to do and so little time to spare. In any case, you are welcome to browse around and make use of the facilities as they become operational.

There are already more than fifteen modules that can be classified as "pseudo-operational" in that they are ready for action.

But, ....... don't expect much yet in terms of documentation and on-line help. We are still working on these items.

Needless to say, your suggestions and comments - especially if they are critical but constructive - would be most welcome.

And it is not too early - in fact it is the right time - to become a Sponsor of this project!

Last but not least, please read the information concerning Copyright if you plan to make use of the modules in your classroom.
